Here is the only thing that I could find quickly for you: With many posters here the two terms are used incorrectly and interchangeably, just as are desktop and Firefox window, but my understanding is that a lot of that " mis-terminology" is being taught in schools. Other posters are having a difficult time distinguishing tabs and windows, it seems.
